some games do not work - antarusch - 01-18-2017
Greetings everyone,
I was testing some games in dolphin and some of this games do not work correctly or show only a black screen :
- Call of duty 2 big red one : doesn´t boot, only show black screen
- Time splitters future perfect : same as call of duty 2
- Geist : boots and the intro plays very well, but when the first level begins, after the intro of the first level the game is all garbled, the screen spins, ect.
Somebody else with the same problems?, also, why is this?, what could be the reason?

There are two common issues:
1. We still lack GameSettings on android. Just copy the folder manually to /storage/emulated/0/dolphin-emu
2. Mobile GPU drivers are terrible. Most of the issues are just because of broken drivers. I'm sorry, nobody in the dolphin team wants to deal with them right now :/
Next one would be a bug in the PPC JIT. But I don't accept bug reports which didn't check for the issues above :/

What version and devide you're using?

I got a nextbit Robin with the Nougat beta, the hardware is almost the same as a nexus 5x.
I can confirm that the issues in the game geist are because of the JIT, when I switch to the cached interpreter JIT the first level loads correctly but is extremely slow.

I installed the build 5.0-1943 and copied the gamesettings folder from the desktop and now call of duty 2 big red one and time splitters future perfect boots.
with call of duty 2 big red one I can only reach the beggining of the first level, the game seems to freeze in that spot.
Timesplitters future perfect fares much better, I played the entire first level without issues, only low framerates between 10 and 15 fps in my device, maybe someone with a better device or a shield android tv would get better fps. this game looks gorgeous in a small screen.
I´m very impressed with the work on the emulator, If I remember correctly last year this game didnt even boot in dolphin android.

That is one of the main games i would love to work on my device. I am going to try what you have said to get it to run on my shield tv.

I have a shield tv and ts future perfect runs but could be better, Still playable though with proper settings. At the moment still messing with it to make it run even smoother.
