Mario Party 6 netplay issue - Flashy - 12-31-2016

So I was trying out Mario Party 6 with my friend over netplay. It seemed to work fine (no desync or input lag) except it didn't ran smoothly. FPS was low and cause of that the sounds of the game were horrible and we needed to mute the game. We both have a high-end pc so that is not the problem. Also we were testing this out on Dolphin 5.0-321 build. Any suggestions? Preferred settings? Simply use another dolphin build? Thanks. Rolleyes

Increase buffer(I think)
Also what is you two's internet specs?

I'm working on an improvement soon that will let you modify the buffer.

The input buffer? That one is already adjustable, isn't it?

We both are using mobile routers with 4G connection. Download speed is 2 MB/S+ all the time. My ping was jumping between 57-70 or such. What should the buffer be?

for every 15 ping it should be 1 buffer so around 4 to 5 in your case

That's not entirely true any more. Different games can poll at different rates.

Thanks guys, increasing the buffer solved the problem and the game ran smoothly after. Smile
