Mario Party 6 netplay issue - Flashy - 12-31-2016 So I was trying out Mario Party 6 with my friend over netplay. It seemed to work fine (no desync or input lag) except it didn't ran smoothly. FPS was low and cause of that the sounds of the game were horrible and we needed to mute the game. We both have a high-end pc so that is not the problem. Also we were testing this out on Dolphin 5.0-321 build. Any suggestions? Preferred settings? Simply use another dolphin build? Thanks.
RE: Mario Party 6 netplay issue - Craftyawesome - 12-31-2016 Increase buffer(I think) Also what is you two's internet specs? RE: Mario Party 6 netplay issue - Helios - 01-01-2017 I'm working on an improvement soon that will let you modify the buffer. That one is already adjustable, isn't it? Download speed is 2 MB/S+ all the time. My ping was jumping between 57-70 or such. What should the buffer be? RE: Mario Party 6 netplay issue - poonchee2 - 01-01-2017 for every 15 ping it should be 1 buffer so around 4 to 5 in your case RE: Mario Party 6 netplay issue - JMC47 - 01-01-2017 That's not entirely true any more. Different games can poll at different rates. RE: Mario Party 6 netplay issue - Flashy - 01-02-2017 Thanks guys, increasing the buffer solved the problem and the game ran smoothly after.
