OpenGL Problems (Distorted Graphics) - treecheetahdolo - 12-22-2016 Hey Guys, I Have a Intel HD 3000 and Radeon 6770M GPU and I have my BIOS Graphics settings set to Fixed. I had to change it from dynamic because Dolphin was detecting my Radeon GPU. Anyway when I changed it to fixed Im able to run Dolphin with my Radeon with Direct X but when I try to run it with OpenGL the Graphics are distorted and all over the place. OpenGL works when using the Intel HD 3000 Graphics but with lag. So you obviously see why I want to use my Radeon 6770M. Direct X with Radeon with V-Sync works pretty good for me but there is still slight lag so I would like to try OpenGL with the Radeon to see if there is a performance difference. Any suggestions for me? Any help would be truly appreciated
RE: OpenGL Problems (Distorted Graphics) - admin89 - 12-22-2016 Probably a driver issue. I don't have any problem with OpenGL Most people use Directx12 or Vulkan because these APIs are faster than both DX11 and OpenGL but these APIs require a newer GPU (AMD 7xxx , Nvidia 6xx) You can try the latest driver or use the latest dev Dolphin . Other than that , pretty much nothing you can do , your laptop is too old and it does not meet the requirement to run most games properly https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/#which-cpu-should-i-use You can build a good HTPC for 300-400 bucks and it will run most games at full speed (not include mouse , keyboard and monitor) . Sth like G3258 @ 4.4GHz (OCed) + Z87 mobo + GTX 1050 or i3 6100 @ 3.7GHz (stock speed) + H110 mobo + GTX 1050Ti RE: OpenGL Problems (Distorted Graphics) - treecheetahdolo - 12-28-2016 (12-22-2016, 12:20 PM)admin89 Wrote: Probably a driver issue. I don't have any problem with OpenGL Thank you for your response. I have the most current drivers for my GPU's provided for me through my computers manufacturer. For some reason this laptop doesnt work good with non HP provided drivers so I cant update it to the latest Intel or AMD driver from their sites. Sadly I cant use DirectX12 cause I have a Radeon 6770M and like you said its pretty old. |
