What it says on the tin I guess. It always crashes within 5 minutes of starting the emulator. I am able to run games during those 5 minutes easily and with no problems, but it still crashes. What I'm really stumped by is the fact that I could be sitting on the iso selection screen and still crash. I'm running the stable 5.0 version in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (I'm using 10)

You shouldn't need to set Dolphin to any compatibility mode. What error are you getting when it crashes?

It crashed without compatibility so I thought it wouldn't hurt. Just the "Dolphin.exe has stopped working". Some reason it pops up twice.

Maybe someone will have some better suggestions, but all I can advise is to make sure you have all the recent updates for Windows. Make sure your graphic drivers are up to date through the NVidia website. Make sure you installed Visual C++ from this link...

It's odd that the emulator crashes after a few minutes, even without you doing anything but loading up the game list

OP here, I managed to fix the crashes by moving my Dolphin install folder into an area that didn't require admin access, then deleted my "Dolphin Emulator" folder in My Documents.
