Wii U Pro Controller - kaysalace - 12-19-2016

Hello I am new around here, my apologies if this has been covered before.

I have both a mayflash wii u pro adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Wireless-Wii-Controller-Adapter/dp/B00E6553PW) and a dolphin bar.

I bought a wii u pro contoller and it works very well with all my 8-64bit emulation needs.

The odd thing with dolphin is that I am able to map the buttons to Xinput with no problem and it works with most gamecube tities but it works with very few wii games.

For example it works with MLB power pros but doesn't wth any fifa/soccer games.

Does anyone have a clue why?

Thank you for the help this is driving me nuts!

My apologies for my noob-ness

Many Wii games don't support GameCube controllers. For those games, map buttons to an emulated Wii Remote instead. What controllers you can use is displayed on the back of the game box and described in the manual.

The only game I care about (at the moment) is Fifa 15 for wii, I just checked the game manual.

I am trying to set up the classic controller / classic contorller pro via the wii pro u contoller.

Which setting is the best to emulate this: "emulate wii mote" or "hybrid"
- which entries to do I input each of the joystcks

sorry for my noobness, the help is much appreicated

the file is at my office so I will try it in the a.m.

Thanks again

Do not use hybrid unless you're trying to combine inputs from a real Wii Remote and another input device. (Actually, you probably shouldn't use hybrid at all. It doesn't work well.) So pick Emulated Wiimote.

Once you're in the emulated Wiimote config, find the Extension setting, set it to Classic, and press the Configure button that's close to it. A new window will pop up where you can configure everything on the Classic Controller.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to walk me through.

Looking pretty good now!

One last question when mapping a "classic controller" layout what is the best tool to input for the IT sensor (dpad / stick / does it matter)?

Thanks!!

Do you mean the IR sensor? If so, it doesn't need to be mapped. When a game uses a Classic Controller, it generally only uses the Classic Controller, not the buttons and sensors on the Wii Remote itself.

yes IR sensor, sorry was typing in a hurry between clients

For this particular fiifa I had to map it to the left stick to me able to navigate the silly intro menu, but after that everything is gold

thank you so much, I am so hapy this isn't going to be driving me crazy anymore!!!!
