Just wanted to make sure I'm still up to date. Any workarounds you can think of?

Yes, saves still don't work online. You can find a custom build which allows saves online, but keep in mind it's a little tricky to use. Certain settings need to be the same on both computers that wouldn't need to be the same on a regular build. The topic itself should have the details.
