Suddenly cannot use controllers on 2-port mayflash and nintendo adapter - dpcooke2013 - 12-13-2016

Jeez this is a doozy.

I've been playing Melee netplay for 2+ years now using the Mayflash 2port adapter. I was recently informed that I need the 4-port adapter or the Nintendo adapter because they have less input lag. I bought the adapter and tried to use it on the current Ishiiruka Faster Melee build of Dolphin. I followed the official Dolphin guide for setting up a controller with this adapter and even when Dolphin says the adapter is detected, no controller will show up in game. I started over, uninstalled drivers, reattempted the process and had the same result. I had e2xd of the SmashLadder community attempt to fix my issue via teamviewer, he attempted what I did plus some extra administrative steps, still nothing. We tried changing ports, USB ports, ports within Dolphin, everything we could think of and nothing happened.

Then two days later, I come home and turn on Dolphin forgetting about my issue. The game loaded up and I had my controller there on screen out of no where. I played for 3 solid hours before I went to work, came home and was amazed to see my controller disappear again. Again I tried to troubleshoot and nothing.

So today, I figured fuck it my PC is horrible - Might as well upgrade a few parts. I've had USB issues in the past with my MOBO as well as audio issues, so hell maybe it'll fix my issue.

Buy new MOBO, CPU and RAM. Come home and install it all, reinstall win10 fresh. Still nothing.

The adapter is being recognized as a USB gamepad but no inputs are being displayed in Dolphin or Windows.

I'm running out of options here, I'm not sure what to do. I feel like I might be missing something stupid.

PS: We've tried multiple controllers too

Have you tested this in an official build of Dolphin? Support questions that are specifically about Ishiiruka aren't allowed in the forums except in the Ishiiruka topic.

What software is saying that the adapter is recognized as a USB gamepad? It doesn't sound like something that should be happening.

Yes I've tried it in Dolphin 5.0 as well.

Windows 10 tells me everytime I plug the adapter in that it's installing a usb gamepad.

If you have a Mayflash adapter rather than a Nintendo adapter, is the adapter set to Wii U mode? If not, you won't get the benefits you were talking about, and the operating system will likely recognize it as a gamepad.

2 Port  Mayflash adapter does not have modes.

Oh, the problem is with that one? Sorry, I thought you meant you bought a new 4-port adapter and were having problems with that one.

In that case, can you post a screenshot of the controller configuration in Dolphin?
