Steam controller - Pikachu - 12-02-2016

Can you play GameCube and Wii games all the way through with a Steam controller? I know Super Mario Sunshine uses the GameCube controllers pressure triggers. Do you need a GameCube controller to play it on Dolphin?

Steam controller has pressure triggers afaik.

The steam controller has basically all the features of the GC controller - it's one of the few PC gamepads which have two-stage analogue triggers (an analogue section and then a binary button that activates when the trigger is fully depressed) so it's capable of emulating that part of the GC pad, and if the trackpads are set in their stick mode, they can emulate the two sticks of the GC pad (or the steam controller's own stick can be used, and one of the pads can be the d-pad). It's a pretty good choice except for the differences in button placement, but in a lot of games, this can be worked around by the accessibility of the plates on the back.
