[Wii] New Play Control! - Metroid Prime - Timon1771 - 04-08-2009 New Play Control! - Metroid Prime (JP) ![]() About the game (IGN.com) Part of Nintendo's New Play Control! series of titles of classic Nintendo games remade for the unique control systems of the Wii, this game brings back the revolutionary first Metroid Prime with controls designed around the Wii Remote. Metroid Prime is an action-packed adventure set in the first-person perspective that takes place just after the events in the original Metroid (NES). It has lead character Samus Aran, a bounty hunter by trade, chasing down the evil Space Pirates. Their intention is to use a genetic mutagen called Phazon to create a super army and take over the universe. While the installments in the series before have never been home to deeply involving storylines, Metroid Prime breaks the shell to offer up one of the most intriguing and read-worthy sagas yet. Developed by Texas-based Retro Studios. Metroid Prime brings all of the elements of the acclaimed franchise into a gaping 3D arena. After starting a new game, the game freezes with a black screen. Graphics fade from green to purple, back to green. Overall Audio, Speeds, and Wiimote work fine. I get an average of 37FPS. But it's obviously unplayable at this stage. Screens Screenshots of the menu and the "press start demo video": ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
RE: [Wii] New Play Control! - Metroid Prime - Kraid - 04-08-2009 Eeeeehw, AWESOME ![]() I need to buy that :3 RE: [Wii] New Play Control! - Metroid Prime - KHRZ - 04-08-2009 There's problems with the Pikmin new play controls too, isn't it? What did Nintendo do with the games to make them Dolphin uncompitable? What did Nintendo do with the games to make them Dolphin uncompitable? They don't design the games specifically to make them incompatible, They hardly even care about Dolphin, it's barely even shows up on their radar. They are incompatible because they just aren't emulated properly yet by Dolphin, that's what the devs are working on day by day as they get time out of their busy schedules. Patience is a virtue. On Topic... I am going to buy this game, I want to see how bad they killed "sequence breaking" as opposed to the original N.A. version ![]() Plus playing with a Wiimote will be sweet. What did Nintendo do with the games to make them Dolphin uncompitable? Mario Tennis is playable lol. And I mean New Play Control! version
RE: [Wii] New Play Control! - Metroid Prime - KHRZ - 04-10-2009 Of course Nintendo doesn't work to make games Dolphin compatible. But since little with the games were changed (Same game just tacked on motion controls?) I find it kinda odd that they don't work. What did Nintendo do with the games to make them Dolphin uncompitable? Then how come there is no Thread about it ! ?? I have nothing but a black screen (Rev4300 and dx or ogl ...same issue ) RE: [Wii] New Play Control! - Metroid Prime - nosound97 - 09-20-2009 I remember someone saying that latest revision regressed for that game, you could try different ones andtell which one works, so we can track which revision broke it |
