i7-7500U & 940MX - Mr_Disco - 11-18-2016 Got a new laptop for work. How well would these specs handle Dolphin at 1920x1080, 16x AF ? AA would be a bonus, even at a low setting. if not these specs then what would be best ? 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz) NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX with 2GB GDDR5 16GB Single Channel DDR4 2400MHz Windows 10 Home 64-bit 256GB Solid State Drive Thank you in advance
RE: i7-7500U & 940MX - KHg8m3r - 11-18-2016 1920x108p is equivalent of about 3x IR. Since games vary in how demanding they are on the GPU, you can probably get away with 2x - 3x resolution for most games. The CPU is pretty good also, should be able to play all but the most demanding games at fullspeed. Do you have an idea of what games you are thinking of playing? If you give us a list we could probably estimate the performance. RE: i7-7500U & 940MX - Mr_Disco - 11-18-2016 (11-18-2016, 07:07 AM)KHg8m3r Wrote: 1920x108p is equivalent of about 3x IR. Sure have attached a screenshot of the list of ROMS below: [attachment=15449] RE: i7-7500U & 940MX - KHg8m3r - 11-19-2016 Those games should be fine, I don't see any of the more common hard to emulate games. Try them out and see how they run. Make sure you have a high performance profile set in the Nvidia Control Panel, you play with the AC charger plugged in, and set Windows Power Options to High performance. |
