Wheel centering issue in Dolphin - Pedro Pablo - 11-18-2016

Hi

Some days ago i've tested my Logitech Driving Force GT in in F-Zero GX using Dolphin 5.0. It worked like a charm with the Force Feedback, and I want to thanks the team who made this possible (the PCSX2 plugin it's not working very wheel in my favourite game, Initial D Special Stage).

But now i have this problem. I've tested the same configuration (in dolphin the vibration is set in 'constant', and in the logitech profiler the wheel center is set checked) in two games, those are Burnout 2 and NASCAR 2005 Chase for the Cup. The issue is that when I turn the wheel to the right it works ok, but when i turn to the left there's a point when the wheel lost it's centering force and i can turn without effort, only when i go back to the center the FFB acts and the wheel goes back to the center.

I'm going to test those games with the wheen center unchecked from the logitech profiler. Tell me if i'm wrong but I remember that in the logitech speed force the wheel doesn't return.

Do you mean if you move the wheel very far to the left it will lose the centering spring force? or do you mean a little to the left from center?

If it is far to the left, it might be something to do with the degrees of rotation. The Speed Force has a 270 degree rotation. Try setting your Driving Force GT to 270 degrees.

If it is a little to the left, then it's probably the deadzone setting being too wide.

Lastly, not telling you how you should use your hardware, but the centering force setting in the Logitech Profiler should be switched off for pretty much all force feedback games like Dolphin because it interferes with the forces sent by the game.

Something like that. I didn't configure the deadzone, only i've mapped the buttons and put the vibration in constant. Now i've turned off the centering force and set the rotation to 270° in the logitech profiler but i'm still getting the problem.

I've uploaded a video to show the problem with more detail

PS: The Speed Force doesn't have 180 degrees of rotation?

Leave the rotation at 270 degrees and vibration on constant and start up F-Zero GX. From the F-Zero GX menu, select Options > Controller > Calibration. Calibrate the steering wheel.

But in F-Zero GX it works ok, the problem occurs in Burnout 2 and in NASCAR 2005
