Looking for ways to further debug adapter issues - Zaik - 11-02-2016

So earlier today I tried my adapter (nintendo WiiU official adapter) that has been working for me previously, only to find that it is no longer detected.

Now, I am not sure what changed exactly on my computer since the last time I used it with the controller (a few days ago).

Previously, the setup I used was Dolphin 5.0 with direct connect using the "winusb" driver installed using Zadig 2.2. (vJoy disabled, of course)

Steps I've tried:
Restrating computer (notably, computer does not shut down tidly due to failure to close Dolphin.exe process. Indicating that dolphin is interfacing towards a broken driver)
Switched USB ports
Uninstalled the winusb driver, and the reinstalled it using Zadig
Reinstalled dolphin
Tried various permutations of turning on computer, plugging in adapter and turning on dolphin

At this point, I do not know what to try next so I posted here. Is there any way to debug further why exactly Dolphin is failing to detect the driver? Or is there something really obvious that I have missed?

Thanks in advance

After some more tinkering I have resolved the issue. It turns out that my bank-id physical authentication device was somehow interfering with the detection of the adapter. I have verified this by re-plugging the authentication device again and the adapter is then again no longer detected.

I have no idea why it works like this, but that's how it is.

If you happen upon this answer for a similar problem. Try using the adapter with a minimal amount of other USB peripherals to see if something is interfering somehow.
