pre orders are fine, as long as you don't give money in advance. ive gotten a few silly gadget through preorders too

Same, I'm okay with pre-orders, so long payment occurs only the day it's delivered.
I'll have to wait a few days sadly, it'll be delivered at home in France, but I work in Germany till mid-December... =(
But afterwards, sure for a tournament between us if you agree!

Depends on the swag. GameStop tends to give out stuff as extras. I remember getting some small art book with Xenoblade Chronicles and some collector's box + small art book with The Last Story. They even gave me Paper Mario: Sticker Star for free basically (they mixed up a $5 reserve as a full purchase, but Sticker Star sucks). Also got a giant poster of Sticker Star too, which is actually just a giant sticker.
If there's no swag, eh, whatever. Buy it whenever
Only time I regret not pre-ordering or reserving a copy was with FE: Awakening. You couldn't find a copy anywhere months after it hit stores. Sold out no matter where I looked back then. Funny thing is, I still haven't played it. Had it for years as a sealed copy in my collection. Damn backlog!

Suddenly chances for Banjo-Kazooie or Geno decreased. I am still having hope through.
But I have to admit, having Joker into Smash is pretty awesome.

Yeah, that's some unexpected news indeed... But some would also hope that Persona 5 will come to Switch as well...
Switch got some pretty nice things showed up there. Good surprises...

Given that all Persona games and remakes from the main franchise released in the past 25 years remain exclusive to Sony consoles, I think the chances of having Persona 5 on Switch are close to zero.
But if that helps, Shin Megami Tensei V was announced as a Switch exclusive (although it still doesn't have a release date). That's the closest of a Persona game Switch owners have right now...

Hm, I won't say it's gonna happen for sure, but it's maybe a little bit more than zero if you ask me.
The PS Vita is currently at the end of its shy but glorious life, the Switch is commonly refereed as "the new Vita" because it has the same potential, and as a bonus point, it sells well.
Atlus is more and more at ease when it comes to release games on Nintendo systems, considering major SMT releases, a collaboration with #FE and Persona spin offs on 3DS.
