RE: How can replace music? - Aleron Ives - 09-20-2016 It depends upon the music format the game uses. Each format requires different tools to modify, and in some cases there may not be any tools to do the job, so you'd have to write your own. RE: How can replace music? - Kurausukun - 09-25-2016 I'm not sure you understand, so just for clarification: What game do you want to edit? RE: How can replace music? - Megapsychotron - 09-26-2016 Any possibility that Skies of Arcadia Legends music can be replaced with the higher quality Dreamcast tracks? RE: How can replace music? - Kurausukun - 09-26-2016 Yes, there's a possibility. What format does the game use? I'd look myself, but I don't own the game. Not sure what format the DC version has. I have it, but I've never ripped my DC discs. I'd have to check the Gamecube ISO later when I get home RE: How can replace music? - Aleron Ives - 09-26-2016 I've dumped my Dreamcast disc; perhaps we could compare file lists to see if both games share similar files? It's probably too much to hope for that you could just dump the DC BGM files into the GC version to get the improved music, but if that doesn't work, then it's probably not possible, as SoA uses some special sequenced music format, and I don't think it's DSF. RE: How can replace music? - Kurausukun - 09-26-2016 Wow, I completely forgot that sequenced music existed for a second there. Yeah, if it's sequenced, you're pretty much out of luck unless you want to reverse-engineer the format yourself. |
