Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Zerowalker - 03-17-2016 Does anyone know how to set up so i can play together with my friends over the internet? I have tried messing around but i am really bad at this VPN stuff sadly. I am thinking that i can be the server and my friends connect to me and we have a "LAN", and then i assume Dolphin will work fine and see the other systems. The game we want to play is Mario Kart Double Dash. Thanks
RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Helios - 03-17-2016 Is netplay not an option? RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Zerowalker - 03-17-2016 Sadly one of us has a real Gamecube/Wii and has to use that one (Weak PC,). RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Aleron Ives - 03-17-2016 You can't play Double Dash's LAN mode over the Internet; the latency is too high. You either need to use Dolphin on both ends so that netplay will work or go to the same physical location as your friend so that you can play on an actual LAN. (On the bright side, you don't need to spend any more time trying to set up a VPN...) RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Zerowalker - 03-17-2016 Was afraid of the latency being an issue cause i assumed being LAN it would expect around 1ms, but i thought ppl had it working when looking around the internet. His CPU specs are this: E5400 @2.70Ghz 2.70GHz 3.25GB RAM I am skeptical it will work, but then again i would gladly be mistaken. RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Helios - 03-17-2016 Nah, you're pretty right that would be fairly painful to play with those specs. RE: Using VPN with Dolphin BBA? - Zerowalker - 03-18-2016 I am trying to get netplay to work, however my friend and i (not the one with the bad specs) always "Desync on frame 0" thing. We have tried disabling memory card to no avail ![]() EDIT: we might have got it working
