[SOLVED][Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - efemache - 03-15-2016 Hello, I'm using Linux (Debian testing x64) with the latest code from github (4.0-9124). I can start any Guitar Hero games (Metallica, Greatest Hits, World Tour, Warriors of Rock), but if I try it with a Nintendo Wii remote (motion plus inside) and the guitar from Guitar Hero 3, I have the same problem : every button works ('+', '-', the analog stick, ...) except the fret buttons (green, red, yellow, ...). Any idea ? I don't know if it's a bug but I'm pretty sure it doesn't come from my guitar because I tried 2 guitars. Thanks RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - zyxomma100 - 03-15-2016 I know you said you tried two guitars, but I'd check them again if possible. The GH3 guitars were notorious for having bad/misaligned connectors with the detachable necks, meaning that the fret buttons wouldn't work unless you got it just right. I had several friends with Wii guitar controllers, and I've never seen a single one that didn't have this problem. Maybe this is a Dolphin issue, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was just a case of your guitars acting finicky. RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - efemache - 03-16-2016 Hi, Thanks for your reply. My guitars worked on my wii (which is dead); that's why I suppose it's a Dolphin issue. Did somebody try a guitar with dolphin on Linux with a Wii motion plus ? Or is there a debugger (or something else) in Dolphin to see input ? RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - JMC47 - 03-16-2016 I can get a guitar and see if it works on Windows at least. There shouldn't be a difference. Ok, thanks. RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - mstreurman - 03-16-2016 I own a Guitar and a Wiimote with internal plus and I can confirm they work flawlessly on Dolphin 4.0-9135 in Windows 10. Games: Guitar Hero III - Legends of Rock Guitar Hero - Aerosmith Guitar Hero - World Tour Guitar Hero - Metallica Guitar Hero - Greatest Hits Guitar Hero 5 Guitar Hero - Van Halen Guitar Hero - Warriors of Rock Band Hero Rock Band 3 Rock Band - Green Day Rock Band - Beatles RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - efemache - 03-17-2016 I tried with windows 7 (dual boot) but it doesn't work with wii remote plus : https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/wii-remote-plus-rvl-cnt-01-tr-connection-guide/ If somebody can confirm the problem with Linux. Did you try the toshiba one? Did you try the toshiba one? Hi, No, that's why I put the link (to show the problem) but I don't have a "better" bluetooth module compatible with the wii remote plus for Windows. I'm using Linux (99.99% of the time), so I'm not buying a toshiba controler, for Windows, just to try the guitar
RE: [Linux][Wii] guitar doesn't work - efemache - 06-19-2016 Hi, I tried recently with the 4.0-9354 build and it's working on Linux with one of my guitar (the other one is dead I suppose). I tried with Windows and it's the same thing (one doesn't work). It's working with my regular wiimote and my wiimote plus. |
