Have they decided to fix or include updated drivers that remove this silly limitation. And has Vulkan showed up, considering Nvidia is shipping drivers for Tegra now that support it?

The video driver hasn't changed.

I'm on N9 beta preview hence will be getting OTA updates pushed, I'll let everyone know if they'll update drivers in a newer builds
