Wii U Pro - ligersith - 03-06-2016 Like at least half a dozen other users (e.g.) I'm able to use my Wii U Pro controller with everything except Dolphin (4.0-652 and/or latest). I'm using the Toshiba BT stack driver, vJoy, and WiinUPro. Dolphin doesn't work with WiinUPro or WiinUsoft; it freezes it WiinUPro is open and if I use WiinUsoft to convert the device to an Xbox 360 controller (XInput) Dolphin recognizes a device is there but it doesnt read any of the actual controls. Other emulators are working fine with either software. It's 2016 and besides the obvious that Dolphin hasn't made any effort to accommodate its prime wireless controller, has anyone discovered any other methods that have worked for the Wii U Pro? RE: Wii U Pro - JosJuice - 03-06-2016 Can you clarify what you mean by "the latest version"? 4.0.2 or 4.0-9103? If it's the former, please update to a development version. Is the part where it doesn't read any of the controls when you try to map the buttons in the controller settings? RE: Wii U Pro - ligersith - 03-06-2016 Both; as in both versions 4.0.2 and 4.0-9103 freeze if WiinUPro is open or do not register any controller inputs when WiinUsoft converts the Wii U Pro controller (as a bluetooth device) into a XInput (xbox 360 controller) I can't tell if the issue is primarily with the WiinU applications (but it appears so in some other threads) or possibly the vJoy device configuration here is another thread from 2 years ago where I suspect someone was dealing with the exact same problem RE: Wii U Pro - ligersith - 03-06-2016 *minor progress* after changing the 'preferred device' to the custom vJoy (WiinUPro) and xbox360 controller (WiinUsoft) in the advanced game controllers settings in devices & printers Dolphin no longer crashes but still doesnt work with the controller (No that's not while trying to use WiinUPro and WiinUsoft at the same time) RE: Wii U Pro - ligersith - 03-06-2016 and finally not yet 2 hours since my initial posting, while the controls appear not to be recognized by Dolphin at first they are in fact once you select the individual inputs my bad (YAY IT WORKS!! WiinUSoft, that is) |
