System files Corrupt after NAND install - mdasky1 - 02-29-2016 I just installed my NAND into Dolphin, and got the "System Files are Corrupt" error. Can anyone help? I copied the SYSCONF file from dolphin to the shared2 directory of nand. I copied all of the NAND directories to the Wii directory (this included the Dolphin SYSCONF), and there were some files overwritten. Was this the mistake? I made backups before I did this if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. RE: System files Corrupt after NAND install - skid - 02-29-2016 No, you have not made any mistakes. SYSCONF is to be copied from the dolphin archive to the Wii directory after you have copied your NAND files there. Have you tried switching the Language under the Wii options of Dolphin? In the menu, select Options > Configure > Wii > System Language and select the Language that you use on your Wii. I did, and got the same result. The Mii I created on the console is showing up in Dolphin, but when I run Mario Kart Wii, and hit the home button and choose to return to the menu, it looks right for a few seconds, then blacks out with the corrupted files error message. When I did the NAND dump on the Wii, there was one block that was bad. Could this be the problem? The Wii console works fine. Is there a way to get Dolphin to boot into the Wii menu like the console and choose saved ISOs as channels? Just thinking outside the box? Thanks in advance. I also tried "Tools/Load Wii System Menu 513E" it attempts to load the Wii menu, then gives the corrupted error message. Having a bad block is completely normal and won't prevent you from using the NAND dump in Dolphin. I wonder if there's something in your version of Dolphin that makes it not work... Try the latest development build if you were using the stable build, and try 4.0-8010 if you were using the latest development build. (If the system menu option is grayed out in 4.0-8010, launch any Wii game first.) You can't launch ISOs as if they are installed channels, but you can launch Wii games using the Disc Channel if you want to. Also, you can install WADs as channels. Same result. Any other suggestions? RE: System files Corrupt after NAND install - TheDinger - 03-01-2016 (02-29-2016, 08:30 AM)JosJuice Wrote: Are you sure you changed the Wii language? I've been having similar problems attempting to access the System Menu but Dolphin crashes at random times trying to access Wii Settings or Save Data on either the Wii or Gamecube side. Rolled back to 8010 and no issues. RE: System files Corrupt after NAND install - mdasky1 - 03-01-2016 (02-29-2016, 12:59 PM)mdasky1 Wrote: Ok, same problem. Also, here is a screenshot of the error jist in case that helps. Can anyone help? Once again, I feel real stupid. Looking at the configuration menu, I noticed a path for the Wii NAND files. Well, the path wasn't set up correctly. It was from an install of a previous version of Dolphin. Once I pointed the path at the right directory, everything worked. Is there a place that explains all of the configuration options. If it is obvious, then yes, I really don't know. New to all of this. Thanks for all your help, and especially your patience. |
