Can I get a classic controller to work? - JacobPlayz - 02-20-2016

Hello people. I was just wondering, is there a way to make a classic controller that plugs into a Wii remote work as a GameCube controller? Because i have been having trouble with a GameCube adapter I recently got because I don't think it is the right model. Thanks in advance.

I was also wondering about the same thing. But I think it's not possible to use a classic controller as a GC controller. If you happen to own an Xbox 360 controller, or any other PC gamepad with dual-analogs, use that instead. Also, the GC adapter might not work correctly if you are using Dolphin 3.5-367, as you state in your user profile here on the forums. 3.5-367 is very old and it happens to be the last development build you can find in the old website. Download a newer version of Dolphin from the new website if you're really still using 3.5-367. The new official website is https://dolphin-emu.org/
After all, it is quite soon that Dolphin 5.0 stable will be released.
Go and download the latest development version. Don't forget to transfer the "GC" folder (whick contains the memory cards) to the new Dolphin directory! Also, if you are playing Wii games, transfer the "Wii" folder as well.
After updating Dolphin, try using the GC pad again to see if it works better.

Do you know whether a Xbox one controller would work? I don't happen to have an Xbox 360. Thanks in Advance.

How do you connect the Xbox one controllers though? From what I looked at, you need a miniusb cord to connect them. Do you know a way to connect it wirelessly?

You need to buy an adapter Microsoft makes.
