Noob questions about Dolphin and FPS - khrystoff - 02-16-2016

Hi, I just downloaded the Dolphin to play my old Luigi's Mansion and Xenoblade games and both games runs smoothly, very nice even with high res and filters but I got a question, how can I get 60 fps? At first, I thought I couldn't get it but I found that there's some hack to change the fps, I finally discovered that the hack is integrated with the latests Dolphin versions but I haven't find out to activate it.. can someone help me?

Greetings!

Some games (Sonic Colors for example) are capped at 30fps in game, but people have looked into the game's code to figure out how to change that to 60fps. Only a few games have been cracked like this. I don't know what "hack" you think you discovered that lets you run a game at a higher framerate than was designed, but it's absolutely nothing built into Dolphin. If you're talking about Xenoblade specifically, then while people have certainly been wanting it for a while, there is no patch to make it run at 60fps. Even if there were, you'd need to use the GameCube CPU overclock feature to achieve it considering that game lags considerably even when capped at 30fps.
