What happened to MP emulation? - VegetaSuperSayin - 02-08-2016 Basically,title says all.What happened to the MotionPlus emulation project?Why was it closed?Its SUPER useful for games like skyward sword.

Its motion plus emulation was deemed too hacky/unreliable to make it into master-branch Dolphin, and no other devs were particularly eager to do it again properly. RE: What happened to MP emulation? - Kurausukun - 02-08-2016 The biggest problem is that setting it up wouldn't make any sense, since each game uses the peripheral differently; if you set up controls for one game, it might make absolutely no sense for another. Also, and this next part is really insignificant in terms of why it's not happening, but I'll say it anyway, emulating MotionPlus brings up concerns of piracy because there's almost no way you would have a game that requires the peripheral without actually owning the peripheral. So the best option in any case is to use a real one. |
