It would probably be as fast as your i3 4170 @ 5.4GHz (in theory) or i7 4790k @ 5.0GHz + 1 GTX Titan X . Since Dolphin is a dual core application and SLI , crossfire , dual GPU are not officially supported . And there is no point to do so , GTX 960 can handle 4k rendering in Dolphin , why would you need more than that ？
Btw , GTX Titan X is very expensive and it's not faster than GTX 980Ti . I would choose GTX 980Ti instead
