I'm using Gecko codes that can be automatically downloaded from that cheat window in Dolphin. Other Gecko codes work just fine but the codes that are supposed to give me items when I press the D-Pad don't work. I looked around and found some AR codes that don't work either. I'm playing alone and only have one controller (port 1 of course). Since every cheat source I found online said I have to use a controller in port 4 for the item codes to activate, I tried setting up controllers in port 4 with the D-Pad mapped to my keyboard but that still doesn't work. Same goes for ports 2-4. Dolphin recognizes my keyboard inputs when I configure my "controller" in other ports but the cheats still don't work. Anyone know what might be the issue?

Some button-activated cheats are known to not work in Dolphin.
