Official GC Adapter crashing Dolphin - Creqaw - 01-21-2016 I don't know if it's relevant as it happens with other games too but I mostly play Project M (Smash Brawl mod). Whenever I play a few rounds, at some point Dolphin will stop receiving input from my GC Controller. If I exit out of Dolphin at this point it will instantly crash (Dolphin has stopped working) as soon as I reach the main Dolphin window. This only happens with the older Dolphin revisions (GC Adapter is not in the drop-down list). If I try a newer revision where the GC Adapter setting is in the drop-down list the GC Controller will stop receiving input and randomly "hold" the stick in a random direction (i.e. character walks off the stage). Exiting results in the same crash. I tried several revisions and games and have also tried re-installing the driver a few times but nothing helps. I enabled logging to see what the problem is with the following result: Code: 09:11:786 HW\SI_GCAdapter.cpp:341 N[SI]: GC Adapter detachedA temporary possible fix I found is to simply enable logging with all options checked, I don't know why but it significantly delays the inevitable crash. RE: Official GC Adapter crashing Dolphin - leolam - 01-21-2016 Did this happen in the past? Can you check if your adapter is plugged correctly? The "adapter detached" message, followed by "found adapter" then "detached" again seems to indicate an issue with your adapter or the cable (unless it's a bug in Dolphin). RE: Official GC Adapter crashing Dolphin - Creqaw - 01-21-2016 That's what I thought at first too but after trying several USB ports and different controller ports; nothing, so I assume it's a Dolphin problem unless the adapter self is broken. //edit It did not happen in the past, randomly started this week. |
