Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - Korados - 01-15-2016 Hello everybody, I have a strange saving problem again. Recently, I started to play Sonic Adventure 2 Battle again and went through the Hero Storyline. When I was finished, I closed Dolphin. But after I opened it again, the game said that the save file is corrupt and has to be deleted! So I tried playing the Hero Storyline a second time. But when I was finished again, the same thing happened! What can I do about this? I used Dolphin 4.0-8700 and I always keep it on default settings. The only thing I changed was that I used Single Core Mode because of the graphical bugs. I hope you can help me with this. Thank you very much for your help! RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - GreatWhiteDolphin - 01-15-2016 I also had a problem with saving in SA2B in dolphin. After I completed a level, it turns out the memory wasn't recognized or something like that and I had to continue without saving. I also couldn't save any chao progress at all for some reason, it would just get deleted after I left the chao garden. I recommend using save states instead of relying on the game saves. I never rely on game saves anymore. Save states are probably the main reason why I prefer emulators to consoles. RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - Korados - 01-16-2016 Save States work but in my opinion the "normal" saving options should work, too! How does it come that the game suddenly kicks out the game save? I never saw this on any other game when I used Dolphin! Is there anything I can do? RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - Korados - 01-16-2016 Sorry for double posting but I assume that one of the cheat codes might be the problem. But I'm not sure. There's a timer reset code I used. Maybe this corrupts the data. I tried to use a save state but when the game wants to save normally after a stage, it says that there is no memory card. RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - Kurausukun - 01-16-2016 Try using GCI folders instead of a memory card and see if that does anything, just for shits and giggles. RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - JMC47 - 01-16-2016 Timer codes tend to cause big problems when it comes to saving, so, definitely could be the issue. I had problems with SA2B save before I used any AR codes. This thread makes me think the problem is specific to this game. But I am curious what's causing the problem. Every other game saves fine. RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - Korados - 01-16-2016 But when I try to use save states and finish a stage, there's an error message that no memory card could be found. Shall I post this as an issue on the issue tracker? RE: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problem - GreatWhiteDolphin - 01-16-2016 I just selected "continue without saving" and saved state after I completed the level. It works for story and select mode, but not chao world for me. Chao world requires memory card saving. I think you should since you're not the only one who had this issue with this game. I happened to play this game as well, I wonder if anyone else had this problem. |
