Some ISOs won't list/load - Xuncu - 01-12-2016 Guess that's what I get for not regularly updating n' checking in: Anywho, older versions load all the games I've burnt images of to my drives for delicious HD goodness, but newer versions (up to current: 8684) won't show most games in the startup menu or even load them if I select them specifically. Narrowed it down to version 4.0-7538 Move to Visual Studio 2015 (PR #2762 from shuffle2), with the prior one on the download list, 4.0-7528, being the last that'll show everything. Made sure to download, install, 64-bit Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, reboot, ect, so not sure what's going on. Again, some games show up no problem, others won't show or load, simply says "does not exist" when the emulation window pops up. Does seem to work fine if I run the image through Daemontool's image loader first, and have Dolphin run from that virtual drive. (any word if that makes games run slower/buggier, or no diff?) I'd perfer not needing that extra step n whatnot. Stick with the old one/keep using the Tool, wait for 5.0 to be released, orrrr....? RE: Some ISOs won't list/load - JosJuice - 01-12-2016 This issue has been reported before, but we don't know what's causing it, other than it being related to the VS2015 update. What games are you having these problems with and which ones are working? What formats are they in? Using a virtual drive makes Dolphin use its disc drive code, which is not at well-tested as the regular code for reading files. It's possible that it will work totally fine, but I don't know for sure. RE: Some ISOs won't list/load - Xuncu - 01-13-2016 Yeah, had been using build 5762 for quite some time no problem (for GBA connectivity with Megaman X: Command Mission), then tried to play Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door and HOLY SHIT did the paper effects lag things to hell -- like this bridge appearing took 2-3 minutes with the framerate going straight to hell, and even going in and out of pipes would have stutter. But solved that already by switching the Graphics backend from OpenGL to my Nvidia 630 card: works fine now. Only one instance of minor lag, in the first Bowser scene, that hole punch effect caused some lag to the end of the shot Well, before doing that is when I tried the new builds, because a water floor later in chapter 2 made the framerate drop to near 0. Which brings me to now. At any rate; Appear at startup, seem to be working fine: Custom Robo in a gcm format Megaman Command Mission and Network Transmission as ISOs and Galaxy Assistant Alpha2 from like 2011, a .dol Not showing up: Paper Mario TYD Smash Bros Melee Cubivore Twilight Princess Luigi's Mansion Star Fox Assault all ISOs Oh, and if it helps: Windows 7, x64 bit, Nvidia GeForce GT 630 2GB, 16 GB RAM, 2.67 i7 processor, Dell Studio XPS, running game ISO and Dolphin on (separate) platter drives, my OS is running off an SSD--- though all that may not be relevant since it seems that it's an internal Dolphin thing. A somewhat old beast rig that I coooooouuuuuuld replace, but still going strong--- I'm a computer tech for Staples, so I have a good idea of what I'm doing hardware-wise. I can run XCOM with the Long War mod no problem, and the only time I had lag was when I made SEVEN GODDAMN BERSERKERS wander into a Rift from a caster on one side after tossing a grenade from on the opposite side--- that REALLY fucked with their AI. |
