Dolphin completely broken on my new laptop... - telespentry - 12-26-2015

Notes: laptop has gsync but I have completely disabled that and vsync in the nvidia control panel and I still have this issue. On a gtx 970m and a 6700k cpu

So I got a new laptop today... Dolphin is locked at 30 fps for some strange reason. You literally cannot go above that whether it is with turbo, or with a game that supports 60 fps. Unlocking the frame limiter on any game whether gc or wii, the fps is exactly 30. I have disabled vsync in the dolphin settings but I can't get this to work. It isn't just halving my monitor framerate either because I have overclocked my display to 70hz and dolphin is still locked at 30.

according to here it seems that EVERYTHING is locked at 30fps by my gpu. WTF NVIDIA

edit: turns out nvidia locks your fps for everything to 30fps on battery with the option to turn it off being hidden...

Update to the latest driver, set Windows Power Option to "high performance", manually set the gpu to high performance in the nvidia control panel.

Thanks. but I already posted a fix I found. and the feature actually can not be turned off completely when on battery. Disabling it just limits it to 60fps which is better... I guess???
