OS X OpenGL driver issues? - bacardi - 12-13-2015

Hi Guys,

I've been testing out Dolphin on my Macbook Pro with an Iris 6100 Intel card, speed is perfect, and the emulation almost perfect. I'm seeing some effects being corrupted, for example- Tales of Symphonia save point effect when you walk over it, the effect simply fires off a purple texture. Same for Metroid Prime hot air effect over the gun, instead of hot air after it's shot several times, a corrupted texture is displayed. It happens also with the speedhacks turned off. Anyone encountering this issue? Using 10.11.2 OS X here. Cheers.

Your profile says that you're using the "latest build" of Dolphin. Does that mean 4.0 or 4.0-8329?

Yep 4.0-8329 Smile Sorry I should probably clarify that one in the profile Wink

I haven't heard about these specific issues before, but it sounds likely that they're caused by the problems with EFB copies on the OS X Intel drivers. If that's the case, there's no simple fix. Changing operating system or graphics card will work. Using an older version of Dolphin can also work, but then you're going to get other problems in exchange.

That's a shame, well I guess it's a matter of time then, i'll be coming back to test in every once in a while. Really annoying since it's the only issue I'm having Sad
