Should i get the GPD XD or the Nvidia shield portable? I've heard great things about both and i wanna play emulators up to the psp, also up to dreamcast.

I had never even heard of the GPD XD until today. It doesn't appear to have particularly good reviews from the sources I found on google.
The shield handheld is excellent, although pricey.
