Issue with Animal Crossing on special "overclockable" build - PyGuy - 11-28-2015 Hello, all! I recently found a new video by one of the folks on YouTube trying out Soul Calibur 2 on a special "overclockable" version of the Dolphin emulator on the Tegra K1-equipped Shield Tablet. Naturally, it is still too slow with this tablet, and will likely remain so until a potential X1 refresh hits the market. However, I did some tweaking in the Dolphin.ini file once I got the apk (attached to the video) installed and fired up Animal Crossing on my Shield Tablet. The Nintendo logo faded in and out like normal, and then I was greeted by the Animal Crossing theme at full speed with what appeared to be a playable game, but only a thin line displaying it with the rest of the screen being pitch black. Is anyone familiar with this type of bug? Is there a way around it? If not, it's not a big deal. After all, there's leaked benchmarks floating around the internet of what looks like a Tegra X1 version of the tablet, so once I get my hands on that, I should have no trouble with Animal Crossing, even without "overclocking." Thanks in advance for any advice given! Peace. RE: Issue with Animal Crossing on special "overclockable" build - DrHouse64 - 11-30-2015 If I'm right, this is not an "overclockable" build. It's a feature of the official Dolphin Build, but hidden for Android so we have to tweak Dolphin.ini to enable it. And since the CPU speed is set to 0.24 instead of 1.00, it's actually underclocking. Do you have the black screen bug when you disable underclock? Ahh, I understand now. Thanks for the explanation. And yes, even with overclock disabled, I get a black screen in Animal Crossing. I've tried with Metroid Prime, and I get a full image, but obviously that game runs too slow regardless of underclock on my device. |
