RE: Is Dolphin Legal? - envisaged0ne - 06-28-2017 Yeah, and this thread is almost 2 years old. You're necroposting which is against the forum rules RE: Is Dolphin Legal? - Shonumi - 06-29-2017 Additionally, the Berne Convention has little to do with Dolphin being legal or not. That treaty basically establishes a copyright regime for many countries to follow, but it doesn't supercede local laws for exemptions or exceptions such as Fair Use in the U.S., or how some countries totally permit unauthorized copies for personal use. You have to examine your country's laws, and a treaty like the Berne Convention doesn't automatically change the law where you live. And copyrights alone wouldn't make Dolphin illegal since it's just an emulator, not a copyrighted game or something. And about necroposting, from our Global Forum Rules Quote:Necroposting: Do not revive a discussion older than 6 months unless your post adds something meaningful or otherwise contributes to the thread. Please create a new thread about your subject instead. Threads violating this rule will be closed. Stickied threads, Game Discussion threads, and HD Texture threads are exempt, however, and users can freely post there regardless of how old the topics are. |
