Dolphin bar doesn't work right - DerPwny - 11-11-2015 Hi! First I connected my WiiMote via Bluetooth Adapter and it worked pretty well until I noticed I couldn't play Super Mario Galaxy and need a Sensor Bar. I bought the Dolphin bar just to make sure that it would work without any problems (because thirdparty hardware usually doesn't work) but I was disappointed. I changed it to Controllermode (3) and pressed the Sync button on the Sensor Bar and the WiiMote and it didn't connect, the Controller has a steady blue light while the sensor bar keeps flashing. Occasionally it works and I have the Wii Cursor for about three seconds until the Sensor Bar stops flashing and it just disappears. I tried the other modes as well what was pretty useless. I don't know what else to try I installed the software and it's updates and it didn't help too. Please help me find a solution RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - ExtremeDude2 - 11-11-2015 Why would you not put it in mode 4? RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - DerPwny - 11-12-2015 It gets worse in Mode 4. I discovered that I can see and use the cursor as long as the LED on the Sensor Bar kkeps flashin but after a few seconds it vanishes and so does the cursor. Both light are on steadily if the Wiimote is not connected, but when the Wiimote is connected the Sync LED switches off or starts blinking and switches off after a few seconds RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - mbc07 - 11-12-2015 Just FYI, Dolphin Bar is only guaranteed to work with genuine Nintendo Wiimotes, and by the behaviours you're experiencing that seems to be the cause... RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - DerPwny - 11-13-2015 No not really, they are original.. I had "fake" ones but they couldn't be found by my bluetooth stick so I got used original ones which worked at the first try, I am able to play games with them, just when I use the Sensor bar in the game, I have no cursor or it doesn't react, because the left light is switched off. When I press Sync it blinks for some seconds and I am able to select a save file (Super Mario Galaxy) and then it turns itself off again. The wiimotes are just discoonected if I use a bluetooth stick, but it won't connect with the Sensor Bar. RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - mbc07 - 11-13-2015 Hmm, while the Wiimotes are connected to the Dolphin Bar, do you see two clusters of lights in the sides of the bar? Are they a steadily lit or are they flickering? (hint: you need to look through a camera since we can't see IR light with naked eye) RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - DerPwny - 11-13-2015 I'm currently writing with Mayflash but they seem to don't know the problem either. Well the right LED is steady but the left one (SYNC) is flickering. I can't see the IR lights, probably not working, as the Wiimote is not connected to the Sensor Bar. I can only connect it in Mode one or two, for some reason it won't connect with 3 or 4. Weird how to tealights work better than the 20 € Dolphin Bar, what a joke... Is there a way I can get the lights to glow without using the Dolphin Bars Bluetooth function? I would connect the Wiimote via Bluetooth Dongle and just use the Dolphin Bar as a tealight alternative. If I can't get it to work I'll try to give it back and buy a cheap China USB Sensor Bar which can't do anything except lighting RE: Dolphin bar doesn't work right - mbc07 - 11-13-2015 If your DolphinBar is with v5 firmware, then no, the IR LEDs will be on only while Wiimotes are connected (but you can mod the hardware to keep the IR LEDs always on). And for Dolphin usage, you must use mode 4... |
