Dolphin slower with Direct3D since W10 update. Also, black screen with steam overlay - Depressed Osaka - 11-01-2015

So, i'm have my development builds up to date and a few days ago updated to Windows 10. Since then, i'm having two issues:
  • Direct 3D, wich is supposed to be faster on Windows OS, is actually SLOWER now. With Twilight Princess GC + Tomoya's HD texture pack (only textures) framerate falls below 15 fps in the main menu and gets extremely choppy in game ranging between 20 and 30 fps

About OpenGL, i get full speed easily with it, but using the Steam Overlay always gets a black screen as a result (i use steam as a gaming HUB as well as a mean of taking screenshots) It runs ok outside of Steam.

Sooooooo... is there any solution to this? I'm actually surprised about the Direct3D thing. My specs are in my signature and my drivers are up to date, btw.

Direct3D only really exists on Windows (and maybe on their XBOX, i don't know), so you can't say that it is faster on Windows. Also, the Graphics-Driver handles that. As far as i heard, AMD-Cards/Drivers tend to be better at Direct3D but it isn't stopping you from using OpenGL.
Have you looked in the settings in the Direct3D-Backend? Things like EFB or XFB? Did you tried to set the settings like in the OpenGL-Backend?

The blackscreen with OpenGL with the Steam Overlay might be a Steam-bug/something like that because the Steam Overlay is supposed to be "invisible" to the game. Also, you can take Sceenshots in Dolphin (I think F9 while ingame?) Also they are saved in PNGs, wich are better in quality than jpeg and smaller than TGAs (wich Steam uses for uncompressed images).)

They meant that Direct3D, which is supposedly the faster option on Windows, is now slower than OpenGL for them.

Are you using the latest Steam beta? Are your GPU drivers up to date? Do you have the Hyrule Speed patch enabled under the game's properties?

Yes, that's what's confusing me the most. AMD s supposed to handle better Direct3D

Settings are the same for both backends. I always try to maintain a parity between both in any emulator for testing purposes

Well, fuck

Yes, i'm aware, is a little pet peeve of mine. Since steam allows me to see the screenshots from the client i favor it.

That exactly, thanks

Steam faithfully uptaded every morning, GPU drivers updated to last beta since its launch. Speed hack activated.

Ishiiruka and 5.0rc last versions gives me the same results, btw.
