How to restore MLaaK DLC from NAND backup? - Imaginary Llamas - 10-28-2015

I recently extracted all of my Wiiware games from my Wii, but I have not been able to find out how I can 'install' the My Life as a King DLC to Dolphin. I read elsewhere that it required dragging a DLC wad file to Dolphin, but attempting to pack the DLC using ShowMiiWads came up with an error (File couldn't be found: ...\content\0000000e.app). The resultant wad file did not do anything.

I would appreciate any help.

Installing DLC using a WAD is one way to do it, but it's also possible to just copy the DLC files (the ones that would be in the WAD) directly to Dolphin's NAND. If you have a NAND backup, you should be able to get everything from it using these steps: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=NAND_Usage_Guide

Well I followed the steps and put the DLC files into Dolphin's NAND, but the game still doesn't seem to recognise they are there. I tried opening one of the saves I had transferred and the game put up an error saying that the necessary DLC was not installed.

I did double-check that I had put everything into the correct folders, so apart from MLaaK having a different way of checking for DLC I'm not sure what could else could be the issue.

Evidently there are some other necessary files apart from the DLC content itself, as when I copied the whole NAND across it started working. Apart from the DLC files under Wii\title\... there were a couple of related files under Wii\ticket\... that were required.
