Windwaker crashes at Windfall - kaega2 - 10-19-2015
A little backstory on this problem
I had a save file in Windwaker at the point where you go to Windfall to get your bombs. I recently updated from 4.0-5736 to 4.0-8038. Upon trying to play Windwaker I would get to the title screen but when loading my file I would just get a black screen. I still have a copy of 5736 on my computer, and it works fine there.
In trying to troubleshoot the issue myself, noticing new games worked just fine, I thought maybe there was some kind of corruption in the save file, and since both versions seem to be using the same save file, I went into the old version, moved Link to another island, and saved the game. The game then loaded in the new version, and I thought everything was good.
That was until this morning. I tried to take Link back to Windfall island, and literally the second I hit the square on my map where Windfall Island is located the game freezes.

Hmm, this should have been fixed in 4.0-8032... Strange. Can you check what the version number of your C:\Windows\system32\ucrtbase.dll file is?
If you want a workaround for the issue, use Dolphin to compress the game to a GCZ file.

Can you upload your savefile? Then we can see if its a Dolphin issue or an issue on your end.

This is a known Dolphin issue (or more specifically, it's actually a Microsoft issue). https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/8930

So first off, that work around worked like a charm. Thank you so much
The version of my ucrtbase.dll file is 10.10.10240.16390. I'm on Windows 7
As for the save file, where exactly is it located? I thought SRAM.raw in Documents/Dolphin Emulator/GC was it, but when I moved it my save files were still present, and Dolphin just created a new file.
I also have played this particular save file over a long period, and several versions of dolphin. I get busy and just come back to it from time to time.

Should be named MemoryCardAUSA.RAW or something similar.

oh, the bug that came with the switch to VS 2015, forgot about that.
Don't worry about the memory card.
