(It can technically also be done the way Project M does it, but that's even harder...) You will need a program that can unpack and repack GameCube ISOs, and an encoder for the audio format that the game uses. Dolphin supports files of any resolution (but they should preferably be larger than the original by an integer factor). Just put a high-res texture in the Load folder as described by the topic I linked to, and Dolphin will use the high-res texture. RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - kieranDavidWood234 - 10-15-2015 Yeah but how do I make that high-res texture? RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - AnyOldName3 - 10-15-2015 Same way as the original texture was made. Open up an image editor and draw it. RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - kieranDavidWood234 - 10-15-2015 So re-drawing the textures will somehow make it HD? What image editors do you recommend then? RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - kieranDavidWood234 - 10-15-2015 Also, is there a way to modify and implement 3D entities into the game? RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - Helios - 10-15-2015 Anything that isn't texture replacement involves modifying the disc image and the game itself and that process varies from game to game. We can't really help you there. RE: Is Modding Supported in dolphin? - kieranDavidWood234 - 10-15-2015 Okay, a bit of a downside, but what could I do with modifying textures? What image editors do you recommend then?If you draw a new texture to replace the original one and the new texture that you draw has a higher resolution than the original texture, then you can add more detail to your new texture than was contained in the original texture and thus make the game look better. You can't create HD texture packs unless you're an artist who is capable of drawing new textures that look better than the original ones. I would suspect that many people who create HD tetxure packs use PhotoShop, but you could just as easily use GIMP or some other advanced image editor. What matters is your level of artistic skill and not the program you use to draw the art. How many times do you need to be told? The developer told you three times now. Download GIMP or Krita or mypaint, and redraw the texture. It's how everyone does it. No, CSI's 'enhance' button is not real. You will need to recreate it. |
