Yeah it's pure luck. My 360 controller is 4 years old and still snaps to 5. But it's always been like that. You'd think for $60 MSRP they'd be more consistent though. RE: New User, Should I even try to run? - AnyOldName3 - 10-13-2015 The bad one I have feels like it's got a tiny amount of dust or grit in it, so if I ever get around to opening it up and cleaning it out it might just spring back to life. IMO , over 80% of them don't work with Dolphin Source, please? If it's a genuine Nintendo Wiimote, then it'll work with Dolphin with zero issues, no exception. How you'll connect depend of the revision of the Wiimote, but all models will work either directly through a BT Dongle (if it's the older Wiimote without Motion Plus or the first models of Wii Remote Plus that identify as RVL-CNT-01), or through Toshiba BT Stack (if you have a new Wii Remote Plus that it's identified as RVL-CNT-01-TR and is running Windows -- in Linux and Mac they work without additional software) or by using Mayflash Dolphin Bar in mode 4 (any revision will work but currently the Dolphin Bar is supported only in Windows)... RE: New User, Should I even try to run? - Helios - 10-13-2015 Yeah tbh I haven't run into a bluetooth setup that didn't like my Wiimote. RE: New User, Should I even try to run? - AnyOldName3 - 10-13-2015 I've tried two bluetooth adapters with Wiimotes. One cost like 20p and was DOA and the other was £1.00 and works fine. If you buy this, go to mayflash's website and update the firmware for it. There's an important update that switches it off when a Wiimote isn't paired so it doesn't burn out After about to purchase it, it wants $8 for shipping. Is there anywhere I can get it locally? (Fort Wayne) RE: New User, Should I even try to run? - admin89 - 10-13-2015 if all of you can connect wiimote without issue then would you mind explain why so many people couldn't do that with thier genuine wiimote. Do we even need source ? There is countless threads appear before your eyes . I couldn't help them and i know you couldn't too RE: New User, Should I even try to run? - mbc07 - 10-13-2015 Pretty sure it was due a crap BT Dongle that didn't meet the requirements (at least Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR plus Microsoft or Toshiba stack if you're on Windows) or unknow BT stack, not the Wiimote itself. And considering a Dolphin Bar setup, if it's a genuine wiimote then it's 100% success rate, same for BT dongle connection if you're using a proper stack... |
