Troubleshooting - Zelda TP (GCN) - R Button Issues - church1138 - 09-29-2015

Hey all,

Seems an issue has cropped up with Zelda TP for GCN. Just finished the Forest Temple, and it looks like my R Button has suddenly stopped working. No matter what I assign R to, the shield doesn't work and the wolf attack in the Twilight Realm doesn't work either (making it impossible to progress once I get through Hyrule Field's starter area.)

Is there a reason for this?

I was using Dolphin 4.0-7xxx and the issue started there. I tried upgrading to 5.0-rc33 and the issue isn't resolved there either.

Attached is my controller config.

Let me know if you guys see anything or if anyone has seen this before.

Thanks!

*waves her magic moderator wand*

Moved to controllers!

Anyway, your mapping seems fine... Well, you might want to reduce the threshold, 50 is rather extreme. But other than that it all seems normal. When you press R in the GCPad window, does it turn red and go all of the way as it should?

Btw, Technically moving from 4.0-7xxx to 5.0-rc33 was downgrounding... 5.0 is based on 4.0-6727.

Whoops. Guess I lost my glasses too, haha.

Yes, the R-button mapping works in the Pad window, and even works in other games perfectly. It just seems like I've hit a snag with Zelda TP specifically. Could a save-file corruption cause the issue, or maybe something is wrong with the disc ISO?

I don't know what to tell you... You could check the MD5 hash of the game (right click the game in the game list > Properties > Info tab > MD5 Hash: Compute) and see if it's accurate. And you could try to disable any cheats you are using.
