Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - Amelaclya - 09-11-2015 Hi all, I need some help configuring my dance pad so that I can properly play Dance Dance Revolution. I have it connected, detected, all buttons working properly, etc. However, it doesn't allow double button presses. So I can't, for example, stand on the down arrow and get the up arrow to register the input. For anyone who has ever played DDR, you know this basically makes any higher difficulty songs impossible ![]() Is there an option somewhere that I am not seeing to fix the problem? Thanks for your help. RE: Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - skid - 09-12-2015 This would be caused by the dance pad to usb adapter that you are using. Check the adapter manual for a way to switch to "dance pad" mode. Check the adapter manual for a way to switch to "dance pad" mode. It works fine with stepmania. I suppose I should have mentioned that ![]() But it's the 3-in-1 magic joy box by mayflash. It didn't come with a manual, and I can't seem to find one online. RE: Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - skid - 09-13-2015 I was assuming that it was the GameCube version of DDR. What is the Game ID of the DDR that you are trying to play? You can find out by right clicking the game icon in the game list, selecting Properties and clicking the Info tab. RE: Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - Amelaclya - 09-13-2015 Game ID = SDYEA4 (Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 4 for the Wii) I do have the same issue trying to play mario mix for gamecube though. I also tried to play around with the adapter settings. Looks like the 3 in 1 joybox has 4 modes. "Analog" is what it defaulted to with my above issue. "Flight" and "Auto" the arrow keys don't work at all. And "Digital" - the R/L keys just autofire continuously, and I can't figure out how to turn it off. Edit: I just tried to remap the keys after changing the setting, so now Flight mode "works", because apparently the key names are different. I was super hopeful, but nope. Still the same problem with not being able to press two arrows at once I appreciate you helping me try to solve this
RE: Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - skid - 09-14-2015 Have you configured the dance mat as a "Standard Controller" in Dolphin's controller settings? If so, go into the key configuration and stand on the Left and Right arrows at the same time and check if Dolphin lights up both directions. RE: Advice on how to properly configure a dance pad - DanceDanceMM - 04-15-2018 I had the same Problem, that UP+DOWN or LEFT+RIGHT won't work with Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix, because i tried to use the Default Controller as Input Device. The Correct way to configure it: Make sure, that you Select Dance Pad and not Default Controller as your first Input Device. Then Configure the Input as Follows: Buttons in Dolphin Emulator | "Buttons" on Dance Pad --------------------------------------- B | Circle (Up-Right) Y | Cross (Up-Left) Z | Triangle (Down-Left) Start | Left D-Pad Up | Start D-Pad Down | Right D-Pad Left | Up D-Pad Right | Down ---------------------------------------- Image of Dancepad and Button Config Tip: If you assign any Button on your Dancepad and then press it you can see on which Button it responses in Dolphin, so you can figure out above Table by yourself too.
