GCPad device dropdown list is empty. - deepode - 09-02-2015

Okay, I can't get my laptop's keyboard working with Dolphin, in fact, I am not able to configure GCPad.
Port 1 is configured to Standard Controller. Videos on youtube shows that when I click on any button to configure, red light shall glow corresponding to that button. But when I do so, there's only large beep sound and nothing glows. Also, in device dropdown list, there is nothing! My keyboard is working completely fine (I am writing this thread by same). I don't have USB mouse plugged in (by reading some questions, "I felt" like it may be needed), neither I have USB mouse to plug in.

The game I am trying to play Is LoZ:Twilight Princess, it loads and shows everything quite well (at least, things which I can see without pressing anything) but I am not able to press keys. Anyways, I don't think that which game I am trying to play is of any concern.

Please help me!!!!!
P.S. Sorry for bad english and thanks in advance Smile (and don't ask me why I have "games" folder inside "programming"!)

I don't know what not having any devices in the dropdown could be caused by, but you could try updating to the newest development version or 5.0 release candidate.

I tried newest development version (it looks cool), but still there is nothing in dropdown.

Okay, sorry for double posting. But I think it's issue with DirectInput however dxdiag (DirectX diagnostics) is showing "Everything is okay." but there is nothing else I can suspect for this problem. Do you guys know any way to check whether Dinput is working for me or not (except dxdiag, I've done that already)?? Also, why Dolphin is still using DInput anyways? AFAIK it's already deprecated.

EDIT: Okay, I reinstalled dinput.dll and dinput8.dll and now dxdiag has list of direct input devices (which I think it didn't have before)...and the list is empty! Does that means my keyboard doesn't supports directinput (!?)

Hello,

I have the same problem on my computer.

Do you have an idea to resolve that problem ?

I tried with the lastest release and dev version and i have the same problem.

IDK whether this can be considered as solution or not, but updating my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 solved this problem.
