Australian Wiimote's - boomer - 08-25-2015 Long time Emulation fan, first time posting. While I have solved every issue myself with just a little bit of research over the decades, this one just has me stumped. I have been trying to pair a few newly acquired Wiimotes to every bluetooth device I have and none of them will find them, I'm starting to wonder if its just horrendous bad luck or is there perhaps a regional difference. first Wiimote is from Ebay, cheaper chinese thing, remote and nunchuck was under $20 with shipping ($20Aus) . The Second wiimote is an official piece of hardware acquire from a local store. Neither of these wiimotes will pair with any device I have in the house. This includes 2 PC's, both using generic CR8510 A10 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter Phones, 2 LG G3's (one kitkat one lollipop), Samsung S2, HTC Sensation, HTC Trophy 7, Samsung galaxy core prime. Cheap knockoff (though surprisingly good) pendo android tablet running 4.4.2 kitkat not even my new 60 inch samsung 4k Smart TV will find a bluetooth device when trying to pair my wiimotes. On my pc i've tried various stacks, microsofts first (hate adding any software if i can help it), CSR's harmony stack and Toshiba's. Have tried various apps for the phones and tablet to pair bluetooth and wii controllers. tried 2 different versions of wiipair.. nothing. every device listed has no trouble pairing my phones or my wireless headsets. At this point I am considering buying the Dolphin Bar, but I am incredibly fearful that it will produce the same result. I have poured over these forums trying various things, I see no clear answer other than, by some HUGE stroke of bad luck, every single device I have does not have the abilities needed to pair these things. I hope someone has something I can run to test or some new insight I may have missed. Thankyou for your time. RE: Australian Wiimote's - admin89 - 08-25-2015 This one will work with 4 wiimotes at the same time . It requires this version of Toshiba Stack (Latest Toshiba Stack doesn't work) . Do not keep so many Bluetooth drivers , you have to use 1 driver and uninstall the other Quote:I have poured over these forums trying various things, I see no clear answer other than, by some HUGE stroke of bad luck, every single device I have does not have the abilities needed to pair these things. Japanese phone though , it may not work for your phone idk The only wiimote that i'm sure it will work 100% with Dolphin is The Limited Edition Zelda Gold Wiimote which was released before Nintendo changed their wiimote's code and dropped the bomb on Dolphin RE: Australian Wiimote's - boomer - 08-26-2015 I will check it out and see if there are any closer to home. It would be expensive for me to order it from the states. I did only keep 1 bluetooth driver on at a time, sorry I should have been a bit clearer there. I still find it astounding that every single device I have fails to find wiimotes, must be such an obscure function. thanks for the feedback ![]() **quick Edit** That bluetooth dongle you linked uses the same software and the same chipset as my current one, csr8510 though it looks like a different revision. (how painful, so close yet no!) are there any known issues with windows 10 and doing this? eh, sigh. i'm starting to believe there may be a regional difference and they simply won't work. I will consider another bluetooth adapter though, I can actually get the Mayflash Dolphin bar cheaper than that usb dongle, might be the way to go. RE: Australian Wiimote's - boomer - 08-27-2015 Ordered the Dolphin Bar, we'll see what happens. RE: Australian Wiimote's - JMC47 - 08-27-2015 Android killed Wiimote support a while ago; so anyone on a modern phone cannot connect Wiimotes. RE: Australian Wiimote's - boomer - 08-27-2015 I am thankful for the feedback guys, it is appreciated. I did read up on the Wiimote support on Android but I was hoping one of them had a version early enough, and the windows phone didn't find anything either but its an old phone and incredibly limited. Well, the Mayflash dolphin bar arrived today (very surprising, it got here overnight and I live in a remote area). It was able to sync to my wiimotes instantly, was surprising. In mode 1 and 2 I am able to use it as a mouse and keyboard for moving the pointer and skipping around pages using the wiimote in windows. However Dolphin doesn't recognize any input from any mode. Whether I use the Real Wiimote option, or emulated and try to map it, nothing shows up. I have gone from Dolphin 4.0-6 to 4.0.2 (last official version), then up to 5.0-rc-19 . None of them will find a controller. I am getting ready to format/reinstall windows 10 and hopefully from a fresh install it will work, but I would still like to try a few things before that. Any ideas? **Edit** changing it to mode 4 while Dolphin is running shows Wiimote 1 connected in the game window, but again it doesn't respond or let me configure anything in Dolphin. |
