Cheap WIndows Game Cube USB controller replacement - barat - 08-25-2015
Hi,
I have two Wiimotes (old ones with separate Motion Plus modules), and now I'm thinking to buy two gamepads which will be registered as Dolphin "GameCube Controller".
I don't want to emulate any wiimotes (that's why i have two real), and even if I think that almost any USB Gamepad which is working on windows (steam) will work as standard GC Controller in Dolphin it's always better to ask before buy.
Next thing is that when I checked - there are 2 games which support 4 players and GameCube controllers as well - Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
So now questions:
- What reasonably priced USB controllers would be good replacement for GC controller in Dolphin? Logitech F310 will be OK, or maybe XBOX One? F310 can be used on Android TV as well - that's a plus since I want to buy Philips PUS7600 TV.
- If I have 2 wiimotes and 2 "GameCube Controllers" setup in dolphin - will I be able to play 4 players Mario Kart Wii or Brawl (two players using wiimotes, and two using gamepads)?

Yes. (I don't know much about specific controllers, so I can't help you with the other question, sorry)

Well ... I just bought two xBox One controllers with USB cable... it was $27 each ("used", but 12m warranty) so I assume that it's nice price
Wife will kill me because in 1 week I bought 2 wiimotes, motion pluses, nunchucks, infrared bar, speedlink charge station with batteries and gamecube AC to power it...

I'm not feeling that buying 4x Wiimote is good investment if ony 4-player games that are interesting me are Brawl and Mario kart - with those games two persons may be comfortable to play with xBox controllers IMO.
There is also Tatsunoko Vs Capcom (two players - better to play on normal gamepads... or any PC substitute game for this one), and lot of Steam gamepad ready games.
I assume, that I'll setup Steam Big Picture as default windows startup/shell, and have Windows as my game console instead of PS4/xBox (I'll tell my wife that buying this stuff which I bought is lot cheaper than console
