Dx12 is legit - rlaugh0095 - 08-21-2015 So, I ran cryZENx's Unreal engine 4, directx12 Tech demo featuring of course samus aran, and I figured I would share the video and post my results. Unfortunately afterburner is incompatible with this demo, so you will have to take my word for it. Fps at different resolutions. 720p 120fps cap 1080p 60fps 4k 30-40fps Cpu usage per resolutions stayed at 10-15% Gpu usage at 4k was at 99%, showing no sign of bottle necking. My setup is composed of a gtx 970, i7 4790k, and 12gb of ddr3 ram. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW_aJsk9CaY RE: Dx12 is legit - DatKid20 - 08-21-2015 Geforce Experience overlay can measure DX12 FPS RE: Dx12 is legit - rlaugh0095 - 08-21-2015 (08-21-2015, 09:18 AM)DatKid20 Wrote: Geforce Experience overlay can measure DX12 FPS Okay, thx for the heads up. I was using the built in one for unreal engine, but its way too tiny. Anyway, i was mainly worried about showing gpu and cpu usage though. Thats where it counts. I also want to mention that my 1080p and 720p fps were not averages. It was pretty consistent. If it was at 60 it stayed at 60 and if it was at 120 it stayed at 120. The only time I got inconsistent framerate was at 4k but, it didn't go below the minimum which was 30 and when it went to 40, it was probably because some of my gpu power got freed up, because not much was going on, on screen at the time, so it makes since. ^.^ With all I saw from this demo, I think I can safely say dx12 will be a great thing to experience in a real game situation. ^.^ |
