Melee and PM running slowly - diadem - 08-13-2015 On Melee netplay my system can neither handle Pokemon Stadium nor Fountain of Dreams. (I know that FoD is often a problem but my understanding is that Pokemon Stadium is not). Issues are present whether I am host or guest. On PM my system only runs at around 50% speed; Single player. As a point of comparison I can run Wind Waker without issue. I have researched recommended graphics settings and believe that I have set them optimally. Dual Core and Idle skipping enabled JIT Recompiler Open GL Native resolution, no anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering or post processing Usually at Fullscreen, windowed seems to not make a difference From what I have read of recommended requirements my system should exceed them. I am using Dolphin 4.0-7161 2011 Macbook Pro OSX 10.10.2 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB Please advise. Thank you. RE: Melee and PM running slowly - OatmealDome - 08-14-2015 Upgrade to the latest OS X (10.10.5 actually just came out). Make sure the laptop is not overheating. You might also want to try running Windows with Boot Camp, which gives access to an additional backend (Direct3D) which may perform better than OpenGL. RE: Melee and PM running slowly - KHg8m3r - 08-14-2015 You have an i7-2675QM. Not really the best processor to use on mobile. Boot Camp and install Windows, it should run a little bit better. Wind Waker is a lighter game than PM or Brawl. Update to OSX 10.10.4 for newer drivers that may help EDIT: ninja'd |
