Direct Connect + other controllers - iamavalon - 08-10-2015
Hello,
currently, I play dolphin with dinput controllers. I am thinking about buying a gamecube to wiiu adapter and a gamecube controller. i would like to know if its possible to use the direct connect option (which allows us to use the GC adapter) for the first controller port and at the same time use other traditional dinput devices as controllers on the other ports. if it's possible, how can it be accomplished?

I think Dolphin will use the emulated controller you have configured for a port if nothing is inserted in that port in the adapter.

thank you for your response, it seems that it may really work as you described, but i'd like to be certain about this. if someone is able to test this possibility so i can buy the new controller with this certainty, i'd be thankful.

i've just read again instructions and confirmed your answer:
Dolphin supports hot-plug, so the pads can be unplugged and plugged into other ports. If a pad is unplugged from the adapter, Dolphin will use what is configured (PC keyboard/mouse, PC gamepad etc).
