"Executable memory ended above 2gb" - Derek - 08-02-2015

I recently upgraded to W10 and updated Dolphin to v4.0-7143.

After playing Project M for maybe twenty or thirty minutes, I get an error message saying "Executable memory ended above 2gb". When I dismiss the message I get another message. After dismissing it maybe half a dozen times, the game continues to work normally, but eventually the message will reappear. The message usually first appears when loading a stage.

Is this a known issue? Is there a work around? Is it caused by updating to W10, or is 7143 possibly a bad release? Should I try another?

This happened to me on a different release, it is completely working in the latest Ishiiruka build if you want to try that (c-stick still a little sketchy using direct connect for gc controllers, but that's in normal Dolphin too). Plus Async shaders are a must have for this game.

What I did back then to fix it was turning off Panic Handlers. It's in Config > Interface. I would suggest not using this for PM though, because it probably will eventually crash without warning.

I did some more testing. I went back to the previous version I was using without problems, v4.0-6891, and got the same error message. So presumably this has nothing to do with the Dolphin version.

So the things that changed were:
-Updated to W10.
-Updated various drivers related (including graphics drivers)
-Using Zadig, reinstalled USB drivers for my gamecube adapter to use direct connect (because the previous drivers were replaced during the W10 upgrade), using the instructions on the Dolphin wiki.
-Switched from DirectX to OpenGL (to work around a crash on startup in PM)

I'm using Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, on a Dell laptop with Intel HD graphics.

People have issues with Intel HD graphics all the time. The drivers probably haven't been tested too well with Win 10 and Dolphin yet so there's nothing really to go by yet on how or what to fix.

Either way, you can turn off Panic Handlers and see how long you can play the game Smile One build would let me play forever (presumably, I never played longer than 4 hours), and one build would only let me play around 7 matches until completely crashing (maybe it was just that specific build).
