Dolphin Crashing in Windows 10 - DAHypersonix1617 - 08-02-2015 I am using a Windows 8.1 that I recently upgraded to Windows 10. While using Windows 8.1, I had no problems with Dolphin, but when i upgraded to Windows 10 I started having problems. Now, whenever I try and start a game Dolphin it will run for about 1-3 minutes before crashing. I tried updating Visual C++ and Direct X Runtime, opening in compatibility mode, changing settings, and moving the files to a different directory and using a different version of (Dolphin 4.0-7141). I should also note that I am using the official Smash Bros Controller Adapter and have updated the drivers. And for whatever reason only Sonic Adventure DX, 2 and Cars work. Before the Windows 10 update NONE of these problems existed. Help is very greatly appreciated RE: Dolphin Crashing in Windows 10 - JosJuice - 08-02-2015 Does it work better with the other video backend? RE: Dolphin Crashing in Windows 10 - SDrudge - 08-03-2015 My computer was originally a Windows 7. Just upgraded it to Windows 10 yesterday and it's doing the same thing. Before the update I had been playing Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for roughly 5 hours straight. After the update, I started to play it and it crashed within 15 minutes. Tried changing the compatibility to Windows 7 and still no luck.

Well, this is pretty weird. I switched to OpenGL and it worked. I thought it didn't have as good as a performance as Direct3D, so I switched back, and for whatever reason it stopped crashing and worked. EDIT: Nevermind. It wend back to how it was after I posted this RE: Dolphin Crashing in Windows 10 - SDrudge - 08-03-2015 (08-03-2015, 02:38 AM)Anti-Ultimate Wrote:(08-03-2015, 02:01 AM)SDrudge Wrote: My computer was originally a Windows 7. Use a newer version I just placed 3.0 in the version box because I can't seem to find my version information while using Windows 10. RE: Dolphin Crashing in Windows 10 - NKF98 - 08-03-2015 ...well, you can find that information by looking at the top of the dolphin window i don't think windows 10 changed that |
