A proper apology - paraemuladores - 07-31-2015

Hello. I just wanted to properly apologize to tueidj, NKF98, Major, kirbypuff, Shonumi, admin89, and with anybody else I might have offended in this post:

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-request-for-a-specific-version-of-dolphin?page=2

Here's what happened: I had used windows 32 bit all my life, and, at the point of making that thread, I only have used 64 bit for a few days. I requested those old versions of dolphin, because I had absolutely no idea that the difference between 64 bit and 32 bit was so amazingly big. In 32 bit, at some point, the emulator started to work a little more slowly in my pc (which it was probably my fault, because I had a lot of problems in my pc at that time), and after that, which was a few months before 32 bit was no longer supported, I stopped downloading the emulator, and kept using the versions I had. When I installed the 64 bit Windows 7 on my pc, I have never, ever used a 64 bit OS in my entire life, so everything was new to me. More importantly, the emulator had changed a lot in that year and a half that I couldn't download it because I still had 32 bit, and I had no idea that it had become so fast. I'll be honest, and admit that I tried the Metroid Prime saga with the latest version of Dolphin, and imagine my surprise when I passed from the game working slow in 2D to the game working almost constantly at full speed in stereoscopic 3D. I couldn't believe it, and well... that's when I realized how silly I was requesting versions that old. So... I can actually play mostly every game I have, if not at full speed, a lot faster than before, with the exact same hardware, and also in stereoscopic 3D with HD textures. Since then, I always downloaded the latest version of the emulator, and it works better than ever.
So, I'm sorry. I really am. I know I can be headstrong, like I said in this post:

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-question-about-zelda-tp-3d

but I should have listened to you guys, when you told me that the latest version was the best. I'm sorry for everything, and from now on, if I post a question, I'll first do as I'm suggested, instead of, well, being so headstrong. I'm sorry for everything, and also, I'm sorry for posting this apology so much later than I should have.
Thanks for making this great emulator that enhances the gaming experience so much. You are the best, guys.

Err , what ? You don't have to be sorry for everything
It's not like you were yelling at us or anything

I guess I was just being stubborn. I made the post not only to apologize, but also to share my experience with other people who, like me, have old hardware and believe that older versions work faster just because they are old, which, like I said here, it isn't the case at all. And, like always, thanks for the answer.

It's nice to see that you were able to figure things out. That's much more fulfilling than an apology; the people here are trying to help, and if your problems are solved then that more or less fulfills what they are after.

I'll remember that. Smile
