What's your usual FPS (need quick answers please) - KOLZ - 09-06-2009
As the thread ask. What is the usual FPS you get for all of your games you play on dolphin? For me it varies on games. For me, Zelda Twilight princess I am hitting some where between 18-20+ fps at various parts in the game, it usually drops in the twilight areas. In smaller areas I get 25+ and up to 30 fps at times. Games like mario Kart DD get a great 55-60 fps. Mario sunshine gets about 25 fps. Other games that are easier on the graphics get a higher frame rate of course but tell me what's your usual fps for your games you play. The reason I ask this is because I am thinking of upgrading my 256 mb on board vid card in hopes to get higher fps and of course for other reasons. But if that won't help I see no need to ruish right now. Although I am guessing the 256 mb on board card might be the source of low frame rates. I also ask this because I saw other post about low fps and good pc specs. I got a quad core 2.20 ghz, 5 gbs of ram, and the vid card as you know is 256 mbs and on board. Please reply asap because I am not sure how much time I got online.

PAL - 50 FPS (sometimes 25 is full speed)
PAL 60hz - 60 FPS (sometimes 30 is full speed)
NTSC - 60 FPS (sometimes 30 is full speed)

It varies a lot between games, and in games. I top out at like 50 in SSBM, and in Paper Mario TTYD I get over 100 on the loading screen and top out at 70 during gameplay.

For my games I get:
Anti alias = 4xx No frameskipping framelimit=50 Watchdog = 60
SSBM 4p at Princess Peach Castle
OGL - 35 fps
DX - 40 fps
SSBB 4p at Delfino Plaza
OGL - 35 fps
DX - 50 fps
this too games don't run at full speed duo to watchdog. watchdog to 15 same for OGL but full speed for DX
Mario Party 7 Pyramide Park
OGL - 30 FPS
DX - 50 FPS full speed
The legend of Zelda WW Dragoon Roost Island
OGL - 20 FPS
DX - 35 FPS
Paper Mario TTYD Puny Tree?
OGL/DX - 40 FPS

Consider Changing your graphics i think its the bottleneck.

Hi, I get anywhere from 30 - 60 FPS in Mario Kart
mostly 30 in wii sports, sometimes up to 45 with golf.
Sonic Advanced 2 I get 50 - 60
and Super paper mario I get 50 - 60
Using rev 4208 (64 bit).

anywhere from 30-60 or more in pretty much any game...
